The White House
The White House is a special house in Washington, D.C. where the President of the United States lives and works. It’s located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Since the year 1800, every U.S. president has lived in the White House. It’s a big place with different parts like the main house, offices called the West Wing and East Wing, and special places like the Oval Office and the Rose Garden.
The White House is really famous and represents the president and our country. People from all over the world visit it because it’s an important place in American history. You can see old and beautiful buildings, cool art, and fancy furniture inside. The White House is where important things happen, like when new presidents start their jobs, when we have important dinners with leaders from other countries, and when they have important meetings to talk about big world problems.
