Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications that run along the northern borders of China, built and rebuilt over the course of several centuries, starting from the 7th century BC.
The wall stretches over 13,000 miles and was constructed to protect China from invasion by nomadic tribes from the north. The wall is made up of different materials, including brick, tamped earth, and stone, and features watchtowers, barracks, and beacon towers. Today, the Great Wall of China is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world, with visitors coming from all over to marvel at its impressive construction and stunning vistas.
