Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore is a national monument located in the Black Hills region of South Dakota. It features the carved faces of four U.S. presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.
The project was led by sculptor Gutzon Borglum and took 14 years to complete. The faces are carved into the granite mountain, standing at 60 feet tall. Mount Rushmore is a symbol of American patriotism and a popular tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors each year.
