Easter Island
Easter Island, also known as Rapa Nui, is a remote Polynesian island located in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. The island is famous for its mysterious and monumental stone statues, called moai, that were carved by the Rapa Nui people between the 13th and 16th centuries.
These statues, which can weigh up to 75 tons, are scattered throughout the island and are considered to be some of the most remarkable feats of human engineering in the world. Despite being one of the most isolated inhabited places on Earth, Easter Island attracts visitors from all over the world who come to marvel at the enigmatic moai and learn about the fascinating history and culture of the Rapa Nui people.
